The University of Benin Teaching Hospital (UBTH) in furtherance of its Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR), has
conducted a free medical outreach for members of staff of Independent Television (ITV) and Radio in Benin City, Edo State.

The Chief Medical Director, Prof. Idia Ize-Iyamu, who was represented by the Deputy Chairman Medical Advisory Committee (DCMAC) Clinicals, Dr. Philip Osho, reaffirmed UBTH’s dedication to improving health outcomes through strategic partnerships and community-focused interventions.

Prof. Ize-Iyamu noted that the outreach underscores the hospital’s belief that quality healthcare should extend beyond the hospital walls to encourage early disease detection.

In his remarks, the Managing Director of ITV, Engr. Elvis Obaseki expressed appreciation to the Chief Medical Director and the entire UBTH team for bringing vital health screenings directly to the doorstep of the media house.

The health outreach encompassed a diverse array of complimentary diagnostics, ranging from blood pressure assessments and blood sugar screenings, hepatitis B screening, clinical consultations, and personalized wellness counseling.

Staff members lauded the leadership of both establishments for delivering accessible, quality healthcare directly to their workspace, hailing the intervention as both opportune and profoundly transformative.

Through this alliance with Independent Television (ITV), the University of Benin Teaching Hospital further cements its dedication to strategic institutional partnerships, establishing a lofty benchmark for corporate wellness endeavours.
